New fresh produce technology conference SMART Horticulture Asia taking place during ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA in September 2016 announces conference program on Information Management, Standards & Technology for Asia’s fresh fruit and vegetable sector

Hong Kong, 5th July 2016 – During the first SMART Horticulture Asia, disruptive technology and information exchange are explored as the basis for a safe, efficient, effective and durable supply chain of fresh produce. Supply chain information from farm to fork is the foundation of the international fresh produce industry.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA powers ahead

The amount of exhibition space sold for Asia’s leading fresh produce show has surged past last year’s total.

Hong Kong/Berlin, 30 June 2016 – ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA, Asia’s leading fresh fruit and vegetable trade fair, is set for a record showing in Hong Kong on 7-9 September 2016. With two months to go before ASIA FRUT LOGISTICA opens its doors at AsiaWorld-Expo, the area of exhibition space sold has already surpassed last year’s total, with 15 per cent more stand space booked. Exhibitors from some 37 different countries have registered to showcase their products and services, and there are 23 national pavilions booked.

Asia Fruit Logistica teams up with IFPS

New fresh produce technology conference SMART Horticulture Asia to take place in association with IFPS during ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA.

Hong Kong, 17 May 2016 – Information exchange is the basis for a safe, efficient, effective and durable supply chain of fresh produce. Supply chain information from farm to fork is the foundation of the international fresh produce industry. In this context, standards for food safety, product-identification (like PLU) and supply chain information management are essential. To help shape the future of information exchange in fresh produce, the International Federation for Produce Standards (IFPS) is supporting ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA with the launch of SMART Horticulture Asia: a new, high-level, Asia-wide business forum that focuses on information management, standards, and technology.
